Nepal Telecom has brought new festival offer 2073 for their subscribers. Targeting  Dashain, tihar and Chhath, they have plenty of offers. Check them out below:

1. Data OFFER

Ntc have offered two data offer for dashain, tihar and chhat. With data, ntc will also provide free voice calls and free sms. Details about data offer are as follow:

• 100 MB for Rs 50
  • 10 minutes Free V oice call
  • 10 Free SMS
  • Validity 5 Days

• 250 MB for Rs 100
  • 25 minutes Free Voice Call
  • 25 Free SMS
  • Validity 10 days

How to activate Special Data Packs?

To subscribe the data pack, one have to  send a sms with text “Special100MB”  for 100 MB data and “Special250MB” for 250 MB data to 1415.

The offer is valid for the duration Ashoj 15 to 29 and from Kartik 12 to 21, the period of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath

2. Night data offer

Night data offer is for both NTC GSM and CDMA network.  In this festival  night data offer customers can enjoy two data packs:

• 500 MB for Rs. 40 (Validity 7 days)
• 1200 MB for Rs 85 (Validity 15 days)

  How to activate Special night Data Packs?

  To subscribe the night data pack, one have to  send a sms with text “Special500MB”  for 500 MB data and “Special1200MB” for 1200 MB data to 1415.

3. Discount on Voice Call

Ntc will provide on 10 percent flat discount on all voice call within its network.  For prepaid mobile discounted rate for per minutes will be 1.35 Rs and for postpaid, it will be 90 paisa only.

4. SMS offer:

There will be 50 percent discount for each sms within ntc network. That means one have to pay only 50 paisa to send sms. Isn’t thats great to share Festival Greeting!!

5. PSTN call:

There is happy news for  The PSTN / CDMA C- phone as well.  These basic phones service will get with additional local calls for the month of Ashoj and Kartik. That is, 275 calls for RS 175 only.

6. ADSL/ WiMAX/ FTTH service:

There will be no validity over  From Ashoj 22 to 28 to ADSL/Wimax /FTTH service, if the validity finishes it will be extended till Ashoj 29  and if the validity finishes in the duration Kartik 14 to 20, the validity will be extended till Kartik 21.

7. Bonus recharge:

One will get bonus of 10% on every  recharge of 100 rs above through MPOS (pinless recharge)

4G will be launched in Nepal in November 2016 (Mangsir 2073)

Nepal ranks 85th in opportunities for girls

According to the latest survey conducted in October,2016 Nepal has been ranked in the 85th position in the list of the countries where the women gets the opportunities.

Nepalese women have been progressing quite faster since the Great People's Movement 2062/63. The first women President Bidya Devi Bhandari, The Head of the Constitutional Assembly Onsari Gharti and The Head of the Judiciary are the major examples of the highest position achieved by the women in Nepal.

Deep United Club, Pokhara organizing "दीप सॉझ - ५"

As in the previous years, Deep United Club is going to organize Deep Sanjh-5, 2016 for the fifth time. The organizor committee told us that they have made arrangements for the Live Concert with the Pop and Lok Dohari songs in that event.

The special appearance of the Nima Rumba and the Legend Band is the most awaiting event for that program. The other Artists who are going to perform in that night are Reshma Sunuwar, Ninnad Band. The popular Lok Dohori artists Jivan Dahal, Shiva Hari Dhungana, Parbati GC and Sabina Gurung also perform in that event.

काठमाडौं, २६ असोज । सरकारी तलब भत्ताखाने सरकारी कर्मचारी र शिक्षकहरुले अनिवार्यरुपमा आफ्ना छोराछोरी सरकारी विद्यालयमा पढाउनुपर्ने भएको छ ।

सरकारले यसो नगरिए सरकारी कर्मचारी र शिक्षकलाई कारवाही हुने गरी शिक्षा ऐन संशोधन गर्दैछ । शिक्षा ऐन संशोधनसँगै सरकारी तलब र सुविधा लिने कर्मचारी वा शिक्षकले आफ्ना सन्तान सरकारी विद्यालयमा नपढाए उनीहरुलाई कारवाही तथा तलब सुविधासमेत कट्टा हुनेछ ।

शिक्षा मन्त्री धनीराम पौडेलका अनुसार सरकारले शिक्षा ऐन संसोधनपछि सरकारी कर्मचारीका छोरा छोरीलाई अनिवार्य सरकारी विद्यालयमा पढाउनुपर्ने व्यवस्था गर्न लागेको हो । यसअघि पटक-पटक यो योजना ल्याएपनि कार्यान्वयन नभएकाले अब भने कार्यान्वयन गरेरै छाड्ने प्रतिवद्धता मन्त्री पौडेलले व्यक्त गरे ।

सार्वजनिक शिक्षामा सरकारले अहिले करिब १ खर्ब रुपैयाँ खर्च गर्दै आएको छ । शिक्षकको तलब, छात्रवृत्ति, पाठ्यपुस्तक, भवन निर्माणलगायतका शिर्षकमा सरकारले हरेक बर्ष १ खर्ब रुपैयाँ लगानी गर्दै आएपनि परिणाम सन्तोषजनक छैन । सरकारी कर्मचारी र शिक्षकले आफ्ना सन्तान सरकारी विद्यालयमै पढाउनुपर्ने प्रावधानसँगै सरकारी शिक्षाको खस्किएको गुणस्तर सुध्रने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ ।

Nepal has just got their two points by winning on China in their third match.
Nepal should have to win the today's match in order to get into the battle for the further qualification.

Daraudi 'A' test transmission has been started from today. The test production of the power has been implemented from Ashoj 22, as reported by the project incharge of the Hydropower.
The Daraudi 'A' Hydropower Project will sell the Electricity to the Nepal Electricity Authority after the completion of all the tests, as told by the Electrical Engineer of the DHPP.

Features of the Daraudi 'A' Hydropower Project:
1. Type: Run Off River
2. Power Capacity: 6 MW
3. Nearer Substation: Haramtari Substation (Near Headquarter of Gorkha district)
4. Total Investment: 1.1 Billion NRs.

After the installation of the transmission line to the Haramtari substation, Gorkha will be free from Loadshedding.

Miss Barsha Lekhi (बर्षा लेखी) will compete in the Miss International 2016 in Japan

Barsha Lekhi was born on May 5, 1993 in Saptari, Nepal. She is a beauty queen and an environmental activist. She is the 2nd Runner Up of the Miss Nepal 2016 Beauty Contest and will represent Nepal at the upcoming Miss International 2016 contest in Japan.

Barsha has finished her Environmental Science education from Patan Multiple Campus and she is has worked at NEFIN-REDD/CC Partnership Program.

Barsha has involved herself into many volunteer activities like clean up campaigns and research based on environmental studies. In 2016, Barsha participate in the Miss Nepal 2016 competition as contestant number 14 and she won the title of Miss Nepal International 2016. Apart from winning the Miss Nepal International title, she managed to win Miss Popular sub title.
